Position Papers

Each endorsed position paper defines which parts of the Government it applies to, the Queensland Government’s position and what the timeframes are for achieving the targets specified in the position papers.

The position papers have been through an extensive consultation process involving the Queensland Government Chief Information Office and agencies and have been endorsed by the relevant whole-of-Government ICT governance bodies.

The following table contains all of the currently endorsed GEA position papers.

White Papers

White Papers issued by the Queensland Government Chief Information Office provide definitions that support concepts addressed by or relevant to the GEA.  White papers may be issued to provide clarity for a subsequent position paper or they may stand on their own.

Queensland Government Chief Information Office develops white papers using the formal GEA consultation process, which includes referral to the GEA Reference Group. Finalised white papers include the results of evaluated feedback received from agencies. Under the current GEA governance arrangements white papers do not require endorsement of the Board as they do not place any compliance requirement on agencies.
