ICT skills framework
The Queensland Government ICT Skills Framework provides agencies with a consistent approach and language for ICT skill management, capability and leadership.
It is intended to align behavioural expectations and career aspirations of ICT employees with the organisation's goals and objectives. There is an emphasis on skills assessments and staff development which will help managers decide how best to close any skills gaps. This investment ensures the delivery of business outcomes now and into the future.
This document is primarily intended for human resource practitioners and managers within an ICT environment.
The Queensland Government ICT Skills Framework combines the following frameworks:
Queensland Public Service Capability and Leadership Framework or aligned frameworks1, for example Lominger.
1 Departments may choose to continue using an existing alternative capability development framework, in which case, the Public Service Commission will require a copy of a mapping or alignment document.
