The aim of QGCIO's engagement is to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with and between government agencies to increase ICT performance that improves the delivery of government services to the community. Core functions include:
- being the first point of contact for government agencies seeking advice, information and/or support in relation to Queensland Government information management and/or ICT
- fostering cross-agency connections and partnerships through capturing and sharing agency specific information across Queensland Government
- promoting the benefits of QGCIO products and services including the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture
- supporting agencies in their contribution to whole-of-Government priorities including reporting responsiblities e.g. ICT resources and ICT work plan (current and future state ICT investment portfolios).
To increase the level of partnering, collaboration and participation we liaise with and between Queensland Government agencies, statutory authorities and bodies, government-owned corporations, Queensland Government ICT Division, Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office and other strategic partners.
