The Queensland Government Chief Information Office works with agencies to improve information security practices across the Queensland Government.
The Queensland Government Authentication Framework (QGAF) provides guidance for determining agency service authentication requirements.
It should be applied when developing of new services, and when reviewing and improving existing services. It applies to both electronically and non-electronically delivered services.
The QGAF has 5 parts: the authentication framework document and four supporting documents.

Queensland Government Information Security Classification Framework (QGISCF)
The Queensland Government Information Security Classification Framework (QGISCF) provides a consistent approach to dealing with sensitive and confidential information across the sector.
The implementation of electronic service delivery has accelerated the need for a consistent approach to information security classification, particularly as agencies seek to integrate services and information.
The framework supplements the Queensland Government Information Standard 18 – Information Security (IS18).
