Industry/Government ICT Group

The Industry/Government ICT Group was established in June 2005 to act as a forum to promote further collaboration between Queensland Government and the ICT industry, and to identify opportunities for government to assist, support and develop the ICT industry within Queensland.

The Industry/Government ICT Group consists of nominated representatives from ICT industry organisations (including Australian Computer Society, Australian Information Industries Association and Software Queensland) and government. Meeting quarterly, the group provides a mechanism for the ICT industry to engage with government on the challenges facing the Queensland's ICT industry.

The group also addresses government ICT procurement and governance issues, and keeps industry informed on key initiatives resulting from the Service Delivery and Performance Commission Review of ICT Governance in the Queensland Government (2006)

To assist in ensuring the ongoing alignment of ICT procurement and industry development initiatives, a joint meeting between the Industry/Government ICT Group and the ICT Ministerial Advisory Group is held twice a year.
