Service delivery is increasingly dependent on ICT. This is reflected in the magnitude of government expenditure on the procurement of ICT products and services.
The Queensland Government, through the Department of Public Works, has established the Government Information Technology Contracting Framework (GITC V5) as the cornerstone of government procurement for ICT products and services.
The GITC framework contains standard contractual terms and conditions for use in the acquisition of ICT products and services. By signing the GITC agreement, suppliers agree to utilise these standard terms and conditions in their commercial dealings with Queensland Government agencies.
