ICT Procurement 

The importance of ICT can be seen in the growing dependence of agencies for all aspects of service delivery. This in turn is reflected in the magnitude of Government expenditure on the procurement of ICT products and services.

While the State Procurement Policy applies to all Government procurement, a number of additional principles and guidelines are relevant only for the procurement of ICT products and/or services, including:

Lilac Briefs are prepared by QGCIO for any Budget proposal with an ICT component which is presented to cabinet or CBRC, to ensure all significant ICT investments are aligned with and support Government's long term direction.
