The Smart Classrooms Initiative
The Smart Classroom Strategy unites efforts that systemically improve our capacity to teach, learn and manage the education curriculum through ICT with better network infrastructure and access.

Gateway Schools Project
Selected Queensland schools are involved in the Gateway Schools to Industry program. This program provides new educational opportunities for students to ensure they have the skills and experiences to effectively transition into ICT and related industries.

The role of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM) is vital for preparing Queensland for the future. This initiative will ensure that Queensland has a pool of highly qualified engineering, medical and science professionals.
National IM Skills Summit
Queensland State Archives is organising the National Information Management Skills Summit to be held in Brisbane on Wednesday, 15 October 2008.
The Summit will bring together a range of national and international experts to explore some of the key information managements challenges ahead for government and to define the current and future information management skills needed by governments.
