The ICT Skills Formation Strategy is a joint project between the Department of Education, Training and the Arts and the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry.
This strategy aims to improve collaboration between industry, government and the education sector.
ICT Career Start Program
The ICT Career Start Program developed by the Information Industries Bureau, within the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry, is a competitive funding program to assist organisations, such as industry associations, to deliver projects and events that promote ICT as a career of choice.
National ICT Skills Challenge
In June 2006 the Queensland Government hosted the National ICT Skills Summit, which provided a forum for industry leaders, academics, policy makers and educators from around Australia to address current and future ICT skills issues.
The ICT industry across Australia is now working to address current and future ICT skills shortages through the National ICT Skills Challenge.
