Assessment (enterprise architecture context) (Definition)

In many digital and ICT planning activities, there is a need to assess the business impact, future business value, condition and scaled cost of ICT assets including service, information assets, applications and technologies. Within the context of the Queensland Government digital and ICT planning framework, these assessments are used to create ICT Asset Assessment grid models. Depending on where the assessed elements fall on a grid, specific asset management strategies and actions can be considered during planning in relation to the short and longer-term management of the Information, Application and Technology Portfolios.
