Authored Content (Definition)

Unstructured content in a wide variety of formats. Authored content are creations that are attributed to an individual or identifiable entity. Unlike its Published Content counterpart, Authored Content is typically restricted in its distribution or kept internal. Examples include: E-mail; Instant messages; Internal memorandums; Briefing notes; Application system code; Presentations; Movies; Electronic messages
