Hybrid records (Definition)

A record that contains both physical and digital components. An example of a hybrid record would be a file managed within an eDRMS that includes paper documents (analogue components) as well as digital components such as a spreadsheet, emails, word documents etc. A record which includes digital components on physical media (such as a DVD or CD) is also considered a hybrid record.
