Outcome (Definition)

The result of change, normally affecting real-world behaviour and/or circumstances. Outcomes are desired when a change is conceived. Outcomes are achieved as a result of projects or activities undertaken to effect the change i.e. on the creation of capability that has been implemented into an operational context. Outcomes differ from benefits in that benefits are the measurable, financial, quantifiable or observable difference between the initial state and the outcome.
