Published Content (Definition)

Unstructured content assembled from its component pieces, into a desired format and disseminated to a wide target audience. Published content is only changed through either a “replacement” publication process or removal of access to the content. Unlike Authored Content, Published Content is typically less restricted in its distribution and often exposed to public or external access. Examples included: Smart Directions PDF available from, Intranet sites, Internet sites/content, Government Gazette, Re-prints of legislation and Brochures on changes to road rules.
