Industry Graduate Program

Sign up to the Queensland Government Industry Partners Digital Graduate Program for your opportunity to enter the workforce in a supported way.

This new program connects recent university digital graduates (that’s YOU) to organisations that need digital expertise to help them remain competitive and grow.

It costs you nothing to join, and your details will be available to organisations that have registered with the program. You will also receive free online learning and development training to help you transition from graduate to digital professional.

We are looking for graduates who have qualifications to do roles, such as:

  • information management
  • ICT generalist
  • human-centred design
  • help desk operator
  • enterprise officer
  • data science
  • cyber security
  • cloud integration
  • business analyst
  • website developer
  • user experience
  • software development
  • project support
  • network support
  • mobile platform application development.

Benefits of the program

If you are accepted into the program, you receive a one-year temporary employment contract in a graduate role while you learn about the business and uplift your skills in the workplace.

The program is being managed by the Queensland Government and is based on a mini-version of the highly successful Queensland Government Digital and ICT Graduate Program, which supports graduate placements across Queensland Government departments.

You will receive online training and development provided by the Queensland Government to help you achieve your best.

The program pilot is being launched in mid-January 2022 with an official employment start date of 14 March 2022. However, you can start employment earlier if it suits both you and the employer.

Once you create your candidate profile you will be directly approached by participating businesses for an interview. You are able to negotiate your salary based on what you bring to the role.


To participate in the program, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • have completed or about to complete a university degree within the last two years
  • be able to start employment by March 2022 (or earlier).

How to create a candidate profile

If you would like to be considered for a place on the program, go to and:

  • create a GradSift Extra account signing up as an Applicant
  • under MyPrograms add the Program ID Code: 61043807
  • select three role preferences
  • record an introduction video (30 seconds max) and add the video URL link
  • upload your documents including resume, academic transcript, application letter
  • complete your candidate profile by close of business Friday 14 January 2022 to be considered for a place on the program.
