Human Resource Graduates provide human resource (HR) services to employees to help them achieve their goals. This involves providing comprehensive HR advice, operational support, and project management services to IT managers and staff across government.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • assist to provide strategic and operational HR advice and support to IT management and staff
  • liaise, consult and negotiate with internal clients
  • support specialist services including HR projects such as workforce capability planning
  • assist to develop quality HR policy and practice initiatives in the IT workplace.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be able to apply and interpret HR policies and legislation
  • have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • have an interest in customer centric design and people support
  • be able to problem solve, conceptualise and think creatively.

Technical skills and qualifications

Technical skills:

  • a broad understanding of fundamental HR concepts.
  • a good understanding of critical hard to fill IT roles

Your degree may be in:

  • HR, business or business management or a dual degree with business/business management and information technology, information systems, business computing, commerce or accounting.
